The seat goes way up to the front, so a shorter person can find a comfortable position. (It also goes way back, so a tall person will ride comfortably, also.) I find that I usually am holding on to the handles next to the seat as that is where the heart rate monitor contacts are. The seat feels good on the back - good lumbar support. And it is nicely padded. I can plug in my iPod (or any mp3 player) and it has speakers in the console. Much better than wearing headphones! It has volume controls on the display panel. It is quite heavy, but has little wheels in the front so you can pick up the rear and wheel it around. The UPS guy was happy that he did not have to negotiate any steps to get the big, heavy box inside - I put the bike in my attached garage. So far I have no complaints at all and enjoyed my first ride. It took about 2 hours to assemble, and they give you all the hardware and tools - 4 Allen wrenches - that you need to assemble it. The only thing they do not supply is an adjustable wrench to tighten the pedals. It seems to be very sturdy and steady. I don't think I could tip it over if I tried. The display is large enough to read without glasses, and the controls are large enough to see easily. The display uses 110v, rather than batteries. It comes with a power pack - actually a battery eliminator. They say to unplug it when not in use. That seems to be my only complaint, and it is a very, very minor inconvenience. All-in-all, a great product.
